Bernie Federko's memoir, My Blues Note, is a captivating tale of his journey through hockey and music. From his early days as a young boy growing up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, to his illustrious NHL career with the St. Louis Blues, Federko's story is one of perseverance, passion, and triumph.
Federko's love of hockey began at a young age. He would spend hours skating on the frozen ponds and rivers near his home, and he quickly developed a reputation as a skilled player. In 1976, he was drafted by the St. Louis Blues, and he soon became one of the team's most popular players. Federko was a gifted scorer and playmaker, and he helped the Blues reach the Stanley Cup Finals in 1978.
In addition to his hockey career, Federko was also a talented musician. He played the guitar and sang in a band called The Federals. The band released several albums and toured extensively throughout Canada and the United States. Federko's music was a way for him to express himself and connect with his fans.
Federko's memoir is a fascinating look at the life of a professional athlete and musician. He writes about his experiences on the ice and on the stage, and he shares his thoughts on the importance of following your dreams. My Blues Note is an inspiring and entertaining read for hockey fans, music lovers, and anyone who has ever dreamed of achieving great things.
