In 2010, David Scott embarked on a solo sailing journey around Cape Horn, one of the most dangerous stretches of water in the world. His dream was to become the first person to sail around the Horn without stopping or receiving any assistance. But his journey soon turned into a nightmare when he was caught in a violent storm and his boat was dismasted.

Alone and adrift, David was at the mercy of the unforgiving sea. He rationed his food and water, and fought off hallucinations and despair. Meanwhile, back home in England, his wife, Sarah, was living her own nightmare. She had no way of knowing if David was alive or dead, and she was tormented by guilt and fear.

After 100 days at sea, David was finally rescued by a passing ship. He was physically and emotionally broken, but he had survived. Sarah was overjoyed to have him back, but she knew that their lives would never be the same.

Cape Horn: One Man's Dream, One Woman's Nightmare is a gripping account of David and Sarah's ordeal. It is a story of courage, resilience, and hope. It is also a story about the power of love, and the sacrifices that people are willing to make for those they care about.

Excerpt from Cape Horn: One Man's Dream, One Woman's Nightmare

I closed my eyes and tried to imagine Sarah. I could see her face, her eyes, her smile. I could hear her voice. She was so beautiful, so kind, so loving. I had put her through so much pain. I had risked her life. I had almost killed her.

I opened my eyes and looked up at the stars. They were so bright, so clear. I could see the Milky Way stretching across the sky like a river of diamonds. I felt a sense of peace. I had made it through the storm. I had survived. I was going to see Sarah again.
