Growing up in a tumultuous home, Campbell found solace in the kitchen. Food became her refuge, a way to express her creativity and nurture her spirit. As she navigated the challenges of childhood, adolescence, and adulthood, food remained her constant companion, providing both nourishment and a sense of belonging.

Through vivid and evocative prose, Campbell shares her experiences with family, love, loss, and the search for identity. "Eat First You Don't Know What They'll Give You" is more than just a memoir; it is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the importance of embracing our true selves.
