Early life and career

Sloane Stephens was born on March 20, 1993, in Plantation, Florida. She began playing tennis at the age of nine, and quickly rose through the junior ranks. In 2010, she won the US Open girls' singles title. Stephens turned professional in 2011, and won her first WTA title at the Washington Open in 2015.
