In the heart of Central Africa, where lush rainforests meet the Atlantic Ocean, lies the small nation of Equatorial Guinea. A country with a rich history and a vibrant culture, Equatorial Guinea has also been marked by political turmoil and economic inequality.

In this gripping and eye-opening book, the daughter of one of Equatorial Guinea's most prominent leaders shares her intimate account of her father's life and legacy. From his humble beginnings as a political prisoner to his rise to power as the country's first president, the author provides a unique insider's perspective on the challenges and triumphs of leadership in a complex and rapidly changing African nation.

Through her father's story, the author also sheds light on the broader history of Equatorial Guinea, a country that has been shaped by colonialism, dictatorship, and the discovery of vast oil reserves. She explores the complex relationship between power and family, and the sacrifices that are often made in the pursuit of political ambition.

Written with candor, wit, and a deep understanding of her country's history, A Daughter's Tale is a must-read for anyone interested in African politics, leadership, and the human story behind the headlines.
